Can I say something? I just want to say something about this…

I like Mai’s character but I seriously hate her fucking knives. No way in hell can you accurately throw six knives at once or throw them fast enough to knock a person back. 

Let’s do some physics shall we? An average male weighs 62 kg. A throwing knife weighs 200g. BUT let’s say Mai is in expert and can the handle bigger, 250g knives.

So you have 62 kg jogging towards you at 3 m/s. How fast would you need to throw three, 0.25 kg knives to just stop that man in his tracks?

[3 knives * (0.25 kg per knife * velocity)] + (62 kg man * 3 m/s jogging pace) = 0

I set the above to 0 because [0 m/s final speed * (final mass of knives + man)] = 0

Solving the equation for velocity yields Mai throwing 3 knives at 248 m/s. THAT’S FIVE HUNDRED AND FIFTY FIVE GOD DAMN MILES PER HOUR. And this doesn’t take into account that she’s got these men being knocked back REQUIRING THE KNIVES TO BE THROWN EVEN FASTER. Let’s say she throws six knives at one guy running 2 m/s. That’s still an unrealistic 186 MPH which still doesn’t factor the men being knocked back AND being pinned to thick steel walls.

So yeah. Fuck you Mai.
